All About the NBA

The Needham Basketball Association, Inc. (NBA), was Incorporated in the State of Massachusetts on April 17, 1994. The NBA is a non-profit organization as specified under section 501C (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We are an entirely Needham-based organization which only supports residents of Needham.

A suite of Officers and a Board of Directors implement and manage the goals and objectives of the NBA. The Officers manage the logistics and finances of the NBA and the Board of Directors participates in general management decisions and establishing policies of the Corporation.

The NBA is well-entrenched in the Needham community and has developed a close working relationship with the students and parents who participate in the program. This is a special relationship that we value greatly. In that regard, we stay tuned to constant feedback about the program in an effort to do the best we can with limited volunteer resources The NBA is supported by many such volunteers who assist in coaching and daily management of NBA activities. These volunteers are an integral part of the NBA.

The NBA has put an organizational structure in place to insure that the program will be sustained for many years to come and it won't be too long before the offspring of former players start showing up in the program, following their parents footsteps.

The NBA is a non-denominational organization and is not affiliated with any other local or national basketball program.
